The AUTOSUP Decision Support System (DSS)
A central focus of the newsletter is the ongoing development of the AUTOSUP Decision Support System (DSS). The platform combines Digital Twin technologies, simulation models and advanced analytics to help logistics stakeholders evaluate automation scenarios, compare alternative strategies and support informed investment decisions. The DSS is being developed and validated within the project’s Living Hubs in Antwerp-Bruges and Trieste, ensuring that solutions are aligned with real operational needs.
First AUTOSUP Policy Brief Published
The newsletter also introduces AUTOSUP’s first Policy Brief, “Enabling Seamless Automation – EU Policy Pathways for Multimodal Freight Collaboration.” The document identifies key regulatory challenges and policy recommendations to facilitate the deployment of trusted, interoperable, and scalable automation solutions across European freight transport networks.
Cost-Benefit Analysis Framework
Another featured topic is the AUTOSUP Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Framework, developed to assess the financial, operational and environmental impacts of automation technologies. Integrated into the DSS, the framework enables stakeholders to evaluate different automation strategies through scenario-based analysis and supports evidence-based decision-making.
Highlights from Events Across Europe
The newsletter provides an overview of AUTOSUP’s participation in a range of European events and conferences, including the Port of the Future Autonomous Summit, Antwerp XL, the ALICE Innovation Summit, the PAVE Europe Conference, and other industry and research forums. These activities have helped the project share results, gather stakeholder feedback, and contribute to ongoing discussions on the future of automation and digitalisation in logistics.
