We’ve reached a major milestone in the AUTOSUP project with the completion of a key deliverable that outlines the essential requirements for integrating automation technologies into multimodal supply chains.

This deliverable is a crucial step towards this goal, defining the key requirements needed to enable seamless integration of automation technologies within multimodal supply chains.

To achieve this, we adopted a structured, evidence-based approach, prioritizing direct engagement with stakeholders who possess in-depth knowledge of logistics operations. Our methodology included a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process, featuring:
🔹 Two major workshops in our Living Hubs: Antwerp (Belgium) and Trieste (Italy). The Antwerp workshop used structured discussion canvases, while the Trieste workshop followed a more open discussion format to validate findings and identify additional issues.
🔹 A series of targeted interviews and questionnaires with our stakeholder community, external experts and representatives from logistics associations and platforms.

These efforts allowed us to collect, structure, and consolidate operational requirements based on industry insights and real-world feedback. The identified requirements are grouped into critical cross-cutting themes, including:
🔸 Interoperability and technical integration
🔸 Security and Safety (including data privacy)
🔸 Legal and Regulatory Aspects
🔸 Data Management and Information Sharing
🔸 Impact on Personnel (Human Factors)
🔸 Economic and Sustainability Aspects
🔸 Interdependencies and Collaboration

The findings from this deliverable are essential for defining operational models and shaping strategic alliances and roadmaps within the project.
