On 12 June 2025, AUTOSUPs project partners ESC and ALICE hosted a webinar on “How can we protect our critical (port)infrastructure to enable safe logistics and trade?”.
During the webinar, we explored the intersection of cybersecurity, safety, and resilience in multimodal logistics and transport hubs.
Part 1: Infrastructure in Uncertain Times
🔸 Ricardo Figueiredo from European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) gave an eye-opening overview of the EU cyber threat landscape in transport, highlighting new policy demands under NIS2 and the growing risks from ransomware and DDoS attacks.
🔸 Jocelyn Aubert (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)) introduced the TRANSCEND Project, aiming to boost resilience in freight infrastructure with cutting-edge threat-detection and the “TRANSCEND Control Tower” for integrated risk response.
Part 2: The Way Ahead
🔸 Joeri Vandeperre from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges showcased the port’s cutting-edge drone surveillance (D-HIVE), 5G networks, and AI-driven data systems for securing Europe’s second-largest port.
🔸 Jan Tore Pedersen (Marlo a.s) presented the SARIL Project’s vision for smart, resilient logistics infrastructures, with real-time threat intelligence, data-secure communication, and operational continuity frameworks.
From drones to digital twins, and from cybersecurity to crisis management, our speakers emphasized the urgent need for collaboration, innovation, and readiness to face the future of automated transport infrastructure.
The minutes of the webinar can be found in the “Public Documents” folder on this website.
A big thank you to the organiser Andreas Kortenhaus, all speakers, and all attendees who contributed !
